This Japanese Crab Salad serves 4 persons, could be presented as an appetizer. It is not 100% Japanese, but with a twist of Americanization of the Kani Salad


The ingredients are just as the picture shows, nothing’s hidden 😛
1 package crab sticks (surimi 16 pieces)
2  medium cucumbers and 1 Carrot sliced into thin matchsticks
Shredded iceberg lettuce
and 1 tbsp of toasted sesame

1/4 cup of mayonnaise (remember, the less mayo, the better for your health)
2 tsp of rice vinegar, or lemon juice (or a little combination of both, it’s up to you)
1 tsp toasted sesame oil (or olive oil if sesame oil is not available )
A Pinch of ginger powder and salt ( you can add pepper if you like)
